Little snag in tagging the quartet:  One of the violinists thinks he likes Redwood String Quartet better.  I'm not entirely sure what we have in common with redwoods.  All I know is that they're big and, frankly, we aren't.  At the same time, it doesn't sound that bad.  After all, we can't expect to collectively resonate with something like a tree.

Went to San Francisco State University today to meet with someone who wants music at his outdoor grad fair.  The 28 Bus sucks.  Waited forty-five minutes.  Going there didn't make any sense, either, even though he really wanted to meet in person.  I tried to insinuate there was nothing we couldn't discuss over the phone, but apparently, he really wanted me there so that he could show me "visually" how "the set-up would work" and "whether I thought it would be alright".  Essentially, he showed me a picture of umbrellas.  And it really didn't matter if I thought it was alright.

I made spaghetti with sausage and portabella mushrooms.  The portabella mushrooms were thrown in only because they were on sale.  I'm sure I wasted its trendiness by throwing it in spaghetti sauce, instead of grilling it between two slices of bread, cheese, and, I don't know, truffle oil.

well, just the fact that portabello mushrooms were used seems to jazz up the spaghetti. haha, although your alternate way of preparing it sounds yummmmmy.

hmmm... redwood would be easier pronunciation-wise....

Between the ESQ and Redwood... I definitely prefer ESQ. Redwood makes you sound like you guys are either 1) Tree huggers, or 2) Rednecks (Hence, Red-wood). If I had to choose between hiring a quartet called redwood and ESQ, I'd definitely go with ESQ just cuz they sound like they would be cooler and classier. And you would have a cool logo with your E.S.Q. initials. And when people have problems pronuniciating ESQ, they will wonder where the name came about, and you guys will have an interesting meaning to tell them, which will make you guys more, interesting. Hee hee.

ok man, I convinced my mom ( your aunt) to buy portabello mushrooms at harry & davids, thinking it would be the best thing in the world, since I LOVE mushrooms. SO, yesterday I remembred I bought this jar of portabello mushrooms in the summer, and man I was soo excited to open it up and eat it.  IT WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE THING I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. It has red wine in it, why? why must they put alcohol?!! I do not know why I just told you this, but reading your post about portabello muschrooms made me re-live my horrible disgusting experience.

p.s. I'd go with ESQ. I agree with the person above, redwood would make you sound like some tree-hugger-nature-freak-loving-dirt-person. but then again, it could sound cool...but i guess from a teen's perspective, it ain't as cool as ESQ.

p.s.s. ESQ sounds much more fresh, new, modern. Redwood sounds more....classic? I don' t know actually when I hear red wood, it reminds me of my dinning room table , you know the one thats red and its right behind the glass wall?
